What is the American Express Serve?

American Express Serve is a debit card program that is under American Express. Once you have an American Express account, you are eligible for the American Express Serve. You can find out about the benefits that are carried by reading on.

Features & Benefits

With Serve, you first of all can load your account for free. That can be done by direct deposits to the account and you can do that through over 45,000 locations. The best thing about debit cards, this one included, is that there are no credit checks to get the card.

When you use the card to make online payments you aren’t charged for the payments.  The other feature that you get with this specific debit card is that you have access to 24/7 ATM services where you can withdraw your cash.

One advantage that you get with the card is that you send and receive money between Serve account holders. On a greater advantage to users of the card, there are no hidden fees when it comes to this card.

How It Works

If you have ever used an ATM card that is offered by a bank, the process is quite the same as when you use this card. You need to have funds in your account for you to be able to use this specific card.

For example, if you happen to have an American Express Serve®, you can load money into the account at any of its thousands of locations. You can then use the card to make payments wherever there’s an American Express sign.

To use the American Express Serve cards, you have to be willing to part with monthly fees. For example, for the same American Express Serve® Card, you have to part with at least $6.95 in monthly fees. And, the good thing is that you can pay for all your shopping and services through the card.

To pay, just walk into the merchant where there’s an American Express sign and pay for what you have bought. You, however, need to be sure that you have enough in that account to avoid embarrassment. The same goes for online purchases.

How Do You Sign Up

To sign up, you need to have an American Express account. Your account is the one that is used to keep the money – more or less like a secured credit card. You can choose to sign up online. This can be done from the comfort of your home as long as you have an account.

You need to read the terms of use before you apply for the card and the Card Member Agreement. Visit the American Express website in case you don’t have an online account set up and signup for one. You’ll have to fill in some personal and financial information to set up the account.

Debit cards are generally less stressful as they offer you a chance of security with your cash and you also get to earn rewards with them. That’s exactly what you get when you use the American Express Serve. As long as you ensure your credit is good, credit services are at your disposal.

Make sure you do your research before welcoming another card into your fold.
